Redevelopment work helped in increasing the load of coaches from 12 to 15 LHB and 18ICF.Many PF and tracks were in very bad shape all got replace.Washing lines were renovated and relocated. Some PF that were no less than haunted house have been converted into new eg.4&5. Earlier except 10-12 coaches all trains used to have slip system and coaches would get detached at Haridwar. Now its completely history.
The only reason of shifting is that no more space is available to expand as in forward direction there is road and in backwards space...
more... is acquired by private owners in form of residential area.
Eventually all trains will be LHB and going by the load in IR nothing can happen or work with 15 LHB Coaches in long distance trains.
Kalka suffered the same problem which lead to loss of many trains after Covid.Netaji Express (Kalka Mail) will soon short terminate at Chandigarh
please wait...Translate to EnglishThe redevelopment work was dope, man! They increased the number of coaches from 12 to 15 LHB and 18ICF. Many platforms and tracks were in awful condition, but they replaced them all. They also upgraded and moved the washing lines. And check this out, some platforms that used to be like haunted houses were transformed into something new, like platform 4 and 5. Before, only a few coaches would remain attached to the trains, and the rest would get detached at Haridwar. But now, that's ancient history, bro.
The reason they had to make these changes is that there's no more space to expand. There's a road in the forward direction, and private owners have taken up the space behind for residential areas.
In the end, all trains will have LHB coaches. And let me tell you, considering the heavy load in Indian Railways, there's no way we can manage with just 15 LHB coaches for long-distance trains, bruh.
Kalka faced a similar issue, man. They lost many trains after Covid hit. The Netaji Express (Kalka Mail) will soon end its journey at Chandigarh, instead of going all the way.
