The CMRL announced that the extension aims to ensure passenger safety and encourage people to stay indoors during the heavy rains caused by cyclone Michaung. The offer is not applicable to Store Value passes issued on the CMRL app or paper tickets. The cyclone has affected Chennai Metro operations, with water logging at St Thomas Mt metro station causing access restrictions. Passengers are advised to avoid traveling due to the heavy rains and cyclone-related disruptions.

CMRL ne announce kiya ki yeh extension passengers ki safety ke liye hai aur logon ko cyclone Michaung ki wajah se heavy rains mein ghar pe rehne ke liye encourage karna hai. Ye offer CMRL app pe issued Store Value passes ya paper tickets pe applicable nahi hai.
