Once completed, the city will have 30 km of operational metro lines. The construction of the priority corridor is progressing rapidly, with 90% of the civil work completed. The blue line construction involves excavating 60,000 cubic meters of stone for the 2 km underground section from the Ara Mill to the DIG Bungalow. The elevated corridor from Subhash Nagar to Karond, costing 647 crores, is being constructed simultaneously, with the underground section starting from Ara Mill and running to the large garden near Sindhi Colony, before re-emerging as an elevated corridor towards Karond.
