Hey all 🙋♂️🙋♂️🖐🖐
So I travelled today from Mysuru Jn to KSR Bengaluru City Jn via the newly launched Mysuru MGR Chennai Central Vande Bharat SPL Express. Must be wondering how from Bengaluru, I landed at Mysuru and took this train. I left to Mysuru the previous day (28/11/23 at night via bus) and today went to DPS Mysore for giving a lecture abt the higher studies for students as in which stream to go for 11th and 12th and students who opted for Engineering course. Anyways coming back to the train journey, it was comparatively better than the recent trip I travelled on the normal VB express train almost a month back. Staff members were friendly enough that I didn't face...
more... any issues.
Few advantages:-
1. New trainset so seats were comfortable, be it the CC and EC coaches
2. OBHS team maintained the trainset nicely
3. On-time departure from Mysuru Jn exactly same as the normal VB express train
4. Washrooms were well maintained
5. Good amount of options for food like one can order Cup noodles or snacks like Samosa, Medu Vada or Roti and Dal ready-made ones and many more. Cool drinks are also offered.
Few disadvantages:-
1. No catering services compared to the normal VB train since it is VB Spl... one would need to pay at MRP and buy food including water bottle.
2. Slightly expensive than the normal VB since yes it's the VB Spl.
3. No announcements being made BTW 2 stations. U need to keep an eye on the destination and the in-between stns. Only "Doors are closing" announced in English, Hindi and it's regional languages (in this train case, only Tamil and Kannada).
Overall, just like the normal VB Express, excellent headstart from Mysuru and in-between nice pickups wherever it slowed down at some stops like Mandya and Kengeri, comfortable journey and almost on-time schedule. 👍👍
Few snippets of my journey.... kindly have a lookout and let me know ur opinion...👍👍
please wait...Translate to EnglishYo fam! 🙋♂️🙋♂️ Wassup? So today I took this new Vande Bharat SPL Express train from Mysuru Jn to KSR Bengaluru City Jn. Ended up in Mysuru from Bengaluru the other day and then back on the train for a lecture gig at DPS Mysore. Train ride was better than my last one on the regular VB express train. Seats were comfy, bathrooms clean, and ya get loads of food options like Cup noodles, Samosa, Medu Vada, and more. Only downside was no free food, pricier tickets, and lack of announcements between stations. Overall, a solid journey with smooth rides and timely stops at Mandya and Kengeri.👍👍 Check out some snaps from the trip and drop me your thoughts! 👍👍
