CSMT LUR and CSMT J both are politically demanded VBs. IMHO, CSMT J will be a complete failure while with good timings and Chinchwad halt, CSMT LUR can get acceptance by people between Mumbai and Pune.
As for CSMT KOP, CR itself is planning for 7.5 hr TT .. Ghat restriction should not be an issue for this VB.
