The constraints of modern travel means a train TT has to evolve according to the needs. For eg. BDTS - BJU Avadh Express was originally AGC-LJN Express and infact, ran at it's original timings b/w Lucknow and Agra as an overnight train. But recently, it's timings got changed and it's no longer an viable alternative b/w LJN and AGC. Same goes for this train. IR is artificially squeezing this train to be slow despite there being no reason to be so. In fact, I had argue, if GKP-BSB sector is so important, it's better to run a dedicated ICE than a long distanced SL based train. And as for serving an overnight train b/w Lucknow and Gorakhpur, that is now better served via the Barhni route[IIRC, a train already runs overnight via there].
