Technically still Hotgi & Gulbarga are zonal change points and trains are going in those directions (Gadag & Bidar). So as of now there are 4 technical interchange points in Mumbai-Chennai trunk line. I was strong supporter of Gulbarga Railway Division under SCR looking at geographic things plus most lines are from SCR i proposed Gulbarga Railway Division. However, if we take closer look based on reducing zonal interchange points it makes sense to operate Gulbarga rly division under SWR... though I am also ok with SCR to be honest
