Humsafar was actually a good idea. But, unnecessary 15%-20% higher fare + dynamic fare spelt a doom for it. In addition to that, improper timings and wrong days of run added to the misery. Result was a huge list of white elephant trains. Even now, it is not too late. IR can look at ways to increase the occupancy by changing source stations and tweaking TTs a bit. At the end of the day, what all of us want is higher occupancy of IR trains and safe & comfortable travel for all.
