Yesterday was some experience for me. A bit lenthy but try reading. My relatives of TATA came to Kolkata yesterday for an engagement party by Kriya Yoga. The group was of 52 people. Their return reservation was done in Steel. I was shocked when I called them up at 17:20 just 10 minutes before departure my chota dadaji, in a loud angry voice, told me that they won't be able to make it for Steel as they were atleast 4 Kms from Howrah and got struck in traffic jam. I spoke with RPF and other Steel staff about this and they said train may depart by a delay of 5 minutes as Imperial Mail left for the yard from 17. Got a little hope after hearing this I called my relatives again but said they won't be able to make it. Giving up all hopes I discussed with Rahul and Sreerup...
more... who was with me at the PF what to do with these 52 people. We knew we will get in Current Booking for TATA all may not be in the same train but will get in different. In the meanwhile Steel departed from PF 18 at 17:36 hours. 6 minutes later than scheduled departure. So we moved out of new Complex. Sreerup had some work so he left. Rahul and me went to KFC of HWH sat down with Strawberry Swirls and started checking availabilities of various trains. Azad Hind Chart was prepared and in SL CURR Avbl was 29 from HWH to TATA. By the time we reached Current Counter 2 seats got booked. I received names of 12 members and immediately Rahul and me booked for 12 person. My relatives reached HWH around 18:45 by then Rahul too left as it was getting late. Then with my relatives we managed to get 6 more tickets in Azad Hind and booked high WL for 12 passengers in ADI Express as any WL in ADI for HWH TATA gets cleared. At 19:32 chart got prepared for ADI. All WL got cleared. CURR Avbl showed as 0138 so the remaining 22 people's tickets were booked in ADI Current. Yesterday more than Railfanning I had to do travel planning. Big thanks to Sreerup and Rahul for helping me. Here are some captures of my relatives' missed Steel Express.ЁЯШВЁЯШВЁЯШВЁЯШВЁЯШВ. ERS Antyodata and Imperial's BE1 is also in the post.
