Yeah two back to back day journeys. There was very less water in Dudhsagar falls. I got current availability in amaravati and from there in JS to SBC. Didnt want to catch chalukya to YPR as the buffer is only 10 mins at UBL.
Luckily food was sorted as I was in food king. But I pitied the local goa folk who had to go home at 01.00 at night. It was a very long journey.

not a single ATM at UBL station premises!
Again I was lucky to get the only dorm bed at 01.00 in the night at MAO. Hats off to KR staff who even in that late night followed all procedures and properly booked the single bed in RR. In most other stations one is simply shooed away when asked for an RR. Even with online booking its sometimes a big hassle to meet supervisor and get RR. When I said I needed for only the night I was told sir we have only one rate Rs. 150 for 24 hours. No scope of any corruption.
I was thinking of going to MAJN by Netravati or ASR KCVL but both trains overtook Mandovi at Thivim and Karmali! Even roads from MAJN to SBC were shut and 16516 was cancelled so preferred amaravati + JS to avoid any more adventures!

It was not that bad. I had not done a reservation for VSG-YPR knowing it would be empty in current. This proved to be a very good decision at end. Got the only bed in MAO dorm at 01.00.
Also got tickets in amaravati + JS with 50rs cashback in each ticket due to booking via phonepe :) So a neat discount of Rs. 100.
As it was mainly a RFing trip to experience the food king it was not such a problem. Thanks to the delay I got to travel in JS...

When I arrived at CSMT in the morning knowing Konkan Kanya was delayed, it was anyway almost a lost cause, with KR super saturated with numerous ganpati specials as well (I travelled on the 17th sep).
Just to test my endurance, the empty siddheshwar rake which would turn into Udyan rake for SBC arrived just on the PF I was waiting for Konkan Kanya/Mandovi. It even had current availability in 3A and 2A!
Most normal people anyway think travelling by Udyan itself is a huge waste of time and taking the Airavats is the saner option. When I told them it took not 1 but 2 full days from CSMT to YPR they were speechless :P
