Just by looking at an unreserved ticket (UTS) purchased from any counter in a railway station, you can tell the entire amount collected or refunded by that staff on that particular day.
The Alpha code on the top leftmost corner (inside the red box) denotes that.
A denotes 0
...
B denotes 1
C denotes 2 and so on.
The first set, DIAGF shows the Net earnings, Rs. 38065. (Total amount available now in the counter)
The second set, DIEJD shows the Gross earnings, means Rs. 38493. (Total amount he/she collected on his/her shift)
And the difference shows the amount refunded, ie Rs. 428 has been refunded on his/her shift.
