17216 is an LHB train. So, getting slip coaches can be ruled out. The train would need to run with 4 EOG coaches, ( 3 if they get clearance to run the slip portion without an SLR/EOG van on one end), and added to that, the increased complications in connecting and disconnecting the rakes at NDL. So, slip coaches for 17216 is pretty much a dream, unless SCR decides to set some new crazy trend.
Demanding for a new train is the only solution.
