DEDICATION OF ELECTRIFICATION OF ROHTAK-JIND RAIL SECTION ON NORTHERN RAILWAY TO THE NATION (RKM-58)

more... section(58 Km) is a double line section on the Delhi-Bathinda main line and is part of the electrification Project of Rohtak-Bathinda-Lehra Muhabhat Rail Line. This electrification of Rohtak-Bathinda-Lehra Muhabhat Rail Line project was approved by Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure (CCI) in January 2010 for 252 Route Kilometers (RKM) and 610 track kilometers (TKM) at an estimated cost of Rs.294 crores in 12th plan with financial and economic Rate of Return as 15%. The section is predominantly a double line section from Rohtak to Bathinda (227 RKM) and single line section between BATHINDA – Lehra Muhabbat (25 RKM). The entire section comprise of 33 stations. The section is having ruling gradient of 1 in 500 with sharpest curves of 2 degree on Up line & 0.5 degree on Dn line respectively comprising of 179 nos Level Crossings and 24 bridges/ROB/FOB. The system is being designed for extreme temperature range 40 C to 600 C. There are a total of 4 Traction Sub-stations, 4 OHE Depots and 2 PSI Depots on this section for purpose of isolating sectors for maintenance and repairs and the target date of completion is by September 2017.
DEDICATION OF 17 AMBULANCE-VANS FROM MPLAD FUNDS FOR STATE OF HARYANA
Hon’ble Minister of Railways Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu has allocated funds from his MPLAD Scheme for providing 17 Ambulances in the State of Haryana. These ambulances would serve as emergency reach-out to needy patients in far-flung areas and thereby strengthen Public Health care services in the State.
FLAGGING OFF OF NEW DEMU TRAIN BETWEEN JIND-SONEPAT:
For the convenience of rail passengers and to enable inter-city connectivity,, Northern Railway is introducing a new DEMU train between Jind-Sonepat . The 80 km long Jind-Sonepat was commissioned in June 2016 and one pair of DEMU services run between the two cities. The 74030 Jind - Sonipat six days a week DEMU Train will depart from Jind at 06.30 a.m. from 05.04.2017 to reach Sonipat at 09.10 a.m. the same day (Except Sunday). In the return direction, the 74029 Sonipat - Jind six days a week DEMU Train will depart from Sonipat at 10.45 a.m. from 05.04.2017 to reach Jind at 01.40 p.m. the same day .(This pair of Train will run between Jind and Sonipat six days a week in both directions except Sunday ).
Comprising of 08 general class coaches (Sitting ) , the 74030/74029 Jind - Sonipat - Jind six days a week DEMU Train will stop at Jind City, Pandu Pindara, Lalit Khera Halt, Bhambhewa, Ishapur Kheri, Butana Halt, Khandrai Halt, Gohana, Rabrah Halt, Lath Halt, Mohana Haryana & Barwasni Halt stations enroute in both the directions.
