Suresh Prabhu in his current stint has tried maximum possible ways to give trains to his home location [Goa/Konkan region] and this was one among the many things that he introduced , apart from Goa Rajdhani etc.
I think the day trains like mandovi, netravathi [towards mumbai] & few others provide much more better options to psngrs to lie down and have better comfort hence the resistance of people to use this train

I'm a native Goan but not all benefited by any of Shri Suresh Prabhu's offerings to Goa.
Madgaon Mumbai already has a lot of trains why did he have a big urge for introducing one more.
Goa Rajdhani I'm not satisfied with it Madgaon already was served by TVC Rajdhani but VSG left in dust.

dedicated trains Goa express and Goa SK so Rajdhani is like an added benefit but not a necessity.
What is necessity is Vasco Hyderabad train which is again overlooked by Shri Suresh Prabhu.
I would have been much more happy if he had just started VSG HYB triweekly even if there was no Rajdhani or that Double Decker.
