Ofcourse Bihar's growth rate has been higher than almost every other developed state, but that is because it was too far below and behind everyone else. So lot of catching up to do. That way the growth rates of Pakistan and Bangladesh are higher than India's, but that doesn't mean those nations are better than India. I am not trying to establish the superiority of my city over another. I am just trying to open the eyes of folks who still carry that bias from the undivided era ..i.e. looking down upon Jharkhand and Ranchi in several derogatory ways. To such people, Ranchi however it may sound is now in the forefront and one of the most promising cities of eastern region and has surpassed on many many factors to Patna when only 15-20 years back it used to languish owing to Bihar's apathy (Gaya cannot even be considered here as...
more... it is a Tier-3 city and never capitalized its tourism capabilities). Ranchi's Cricketing facilities developed only after JSCA was formed, and we have never been this GOOD EVER. Ranchi also has been crowned amongth the highest Tier II employment generating city, if that indicator can be considered significant. So really thankful that we are on our own and making great strides in every aspect. Of course there need and scope of improvements in every aspect but the path is right which is displayed in terms of growth in all areas (Just check all the economic indicators like Per Capita Income, Tax Collections, Revenues, Education, Literacy, Hospitality, Sporting Infrastructures, Industries, Medical ..We are ahead of the mother state)
