Observations at Pune Railway Station on Tuesday 03-Feb-2009 from 15:45 hrs to 16:15 hrs!
1) 1078 Jammutawi-Pune Jhelum Exp had arrived on PF1 with twin Guntakal MU'ed pair, viz., orange GTL WDM2A # 17944 and orange GTL WDM2B # 16682. This pair had hauled yesterday's 1077 Jhelum Express and may again haul today's 1077 as well! The locos were later seen waiting little ahead of empty rake of 1621A Pune-Satara Passenger on PF5. for 1621-A comes from shed at latertime, around 16:45 hrs approx).
2) 6351 Mumbai-Tirupati-Nagercoil Exp came on PF4 with KYN WCAM3 # 21899 and soon got ready with orange JHS WDM3A # 16083R! Surprise! On this Jhanshi Diesel Power, words NCR and Microprocessor were written. Rare to see Jhansi WDM3A 16083R
hauling SR train (NCJ Express)! WCAM3 21899 was waiting behind the rake of Koyana Exp on PF6, so as to go to trip shed.
3) 6530 Bangalore-Mumbai Udyan Exp came on PF3 with KJM WDP4 # 20060. This WDP4 was in LHF long hood forward mode towards Mumbai direction. Udyan later departed with this WDP4.
4) 2147 Kolhapur-Nizamuddin SF Weekly Express came on PF2 with orange PUNE WDG3A # 13356 Shakti. Later, 2147 KOP-NZM Exp was ready with same Pune Shakti 13356 for onward journey towards Daund/Manmad.
5) Light running blue/white GTL WDM3D # 11150 was seen going back to GIT Ghorpadi Yard Area. This either came light running from Shivajinagar side main line or may have brought a goods train and was returning back to GIT after parking the rake on outer yard, as one rake of goods train was seen on outer yard at Mumbai end of PUNE station.
6) Yellow PUNE WDS6 # 36140 was seen waiting for shunting work.
7) Yellow PUNE WDS6 # 36103 was seen shunting goods wagons near cement loading Maal Dhakkha Area.
8) BL WCAM1 # 21840 was taking rest outside electric trip shed.
9) A goods train hauled by twin DC locos came from Shivajinagar direction. Leading loco (towards Daund or Miraj direction) was KYN WCG2 # 20125 and trailing loco was KYN WCG2 # 20145.
10) 1030 Kolhapur-Mumbai Koyana Exp departed from PF6 with KJM WDP4 # 20043. This WDP4 was also in LHF mode towards Mumbai direction.
11) Orange GTL WDM2B # 16696 was seen taking rest in the pit line between PF2 and PF3 at Mumbai end of PUNE station.
12) As I was leaving station at 16:15 hrs, 2147 KOP-Nizamuddin Exp was ready with 13356 and on PF3, 6340 Nagercoil-Mumbai Exp came with blue/white ED WDM3D # 11194!
