18:15 hrs!
1) First ever spotting of Bhilai WAGx loco at Pune! At GIT Yard, extremely clean and neat looking Barbie Doll liveried BIA WAG5A # 23448 was seen taking rest (both pantos down). On this Bhilai AC Electric, there were markings SECR, BIA and DBR/SI Unit Provided, etc.
2) Brown BRC WAG5A # 23287 was ready with CONCOR rake (and will mostly trail 19:00 hrs Lonavala EMU).
3) KYN WDG3A # 13308 # 13366 Shakti Engines were waiting for next work on goods train.
Observations at Pune Railway Station on Thursday, 24-Feb-2011 from 18:30 to 18:40 hrs!
1) 12526 Pune-Mumbai Indrayani Exp was ready with orange KYN WDM3D # 11243 Diesel Engine.
2) 16508 Bangalore-Jodhpur Exp came with LKO WDM3D # 11162 Cheetah Diesel and got ready with AC/DC Electric Engine BL WCAM1 # 21822.
3) Biggest surprise of this month! On pit line between PF2/PF3 (at Mumbai end of Pune Station), I saw blue/milky liveried NFR Engine (with red strip) NGC WDM3A # 16069. Extremely rare to see NFR/NewGuwahati Diesel at Pune!
4) KJM WDM3A # 14026 was taking rest in diesel trip shed (for shunters).
5) Electric trip shed had BL WCAM1 # 21811 and KYN WCAM3 # 21893 # 21960.
6) 11009 Mumbai-Pune Sinhgad Exp was waiting at outer yard (the famous Sambhajinagar Halt) with KYN WCAM3.
7) PUNE WDM3D # 11176, blue GTL WDMx, yellow PUNE WDS6AD locos were also spotted. Pune-Baramati Shuttle was ready with orange loco (mostly orange PUNE WDG3A engine).
Earlier, today morning, at 07:45 hrs, BTPN oil tanker rake headed by twin Hubli diesels came from Lonavala direction and moved towards Daund! Rare to see twin WDG4 locos at Pune! Lead loco (towards Daund direction) was yellow UBL WDG4 # 12013 and trailing loco was UBL WDG4 # 12095 (standard blue livery).
