Short trip report, the fiery Intercity Express
.
To catch 17038 BKN SC Express from bsl, I wasn't left with much option to other than take this risk.
Kamayani Express was cancelled that day(only 2hrs before I came to know that today's run was cancelled), I checked ntes to find out that intercity Express departed 45 mins late from ET, I was haunted and...
more... very much shaken to the fact that I would miss my first train to Hyderabad. No updates of intercity after ET departure on NTES for 2 hrs added to my fears, 139 told me that it was 40 mins late. On the same day fate had written something different for me, my mom dad could not accompany me due to funeral of one of my relatives. If I took bus I had bigger chances of missing my connection (bus takes 2 hrs, 68km for bsl).

At 15:45(knw dep of 22112) I checked ntes again no update after ET departure again, infuriated I locked the screen, standing at station, and went to enquiry. At enquiry I found out that it just reached Khandwa 35 mins behind schedule, and departed 35mins behind schedule. I held my breath, praying to God that there be no Speed restrictions today, came to platform 1, ntes started working and found out that Train had just crossed Dongargaon 23kms in 16 mins after Khandwa, raging like a monster, I assumed the link to be a WAP4. Checked NTES again to find out that the train was cruising at MPS. After checking Nepanagar departure status (25mins late) at 17:07 I saw a brown loco curving out, later adding to my fears was a BCNA(BSL G5 twins, Brown BCNA rake) crossed at 50kmph, it was loaded!(MPS=60kmph) I was totally frightened with thoughts of missing my connection again cropping up in my head.

At 17:18 a soft honking WAM-4 of Bhusawal shed #21359 entered the scene with a puny 11 coach load of 22112 Nagpur Bhusawal Intercity Express. A lot of crowd was up for boarding as 11058 ASR CSTM Express was running 6hrs behind schedule. After a brief halt of 4 mins the WAM pulled out of mainline pf1 accelerating madly, showing no signs of aging :D
In less than 3kms we were flying at MPS courtesy of agile LPs, one fear of intercity trailing frieght was still in my mind, which vanished soon as we overtook it at MPS in a span of 7kms and 5 mins, the 110 action was seen till RV outer, where bridge had Permanent Speed Restriction of 75kmph, speed dropped to 60, but as soon as last vehicle (SLR) cleared bridge, the LPs applied a higher notch and we flew past the T/P board at 80+kmph), at RV outer we were at 100 and a minute later at 110kmph, we had done an average of 90+ post Burhanpur and there was no stopping, the storm ripped through NB and SAV at MPS, at 17:50 we were at Duskheda 47kms in 28 mins, but crawling started soon at bsl yard outer, after getting a double Amber clearance, WAM again flawlessly accelerated to 80kmph where i saw a WDG5 #50003 and midlamps removed BSL WAP4 #22307 and we stopped at outer I saw an ED WAP4 hauled train, fearing it to be my train I checked ntes and found if to be Navjeevan :p. We pulled into PF1 where after 15 mins my train arrived at PF 4 :D
The End!
