from different locations almost criss- cross each other at 90 degree angle. The single diesel line (Main line) coming from New Jalpaiguri head to the station straight like an arrow. And the branch line coming from New Alipur Duar, which was gauge converted a few years back, takes a gigantic aligned curve at over 90 degree, and then head to the station.
As the 55767 Siliguri (SGUJ)- Bamanhat (BXT) PASSENGER waits on the branch line on the tilted curve, a SGUJ WDP- 4 comes racing through the main line with the 12506 Delhi Anand Vihar Terminus (ANVT)- Guwahati (GHY) NORTH EAST Superfast Express, and then deaccelerates rapidly while entering New Cooch Behar for a scheduled halt. Loco link for our PASSENGER train were MLDT WDM- 2B and JHS WDG- 3A twins.
The opposite pair of NORTH EAST was also spotted on the same day, and from the same location, and with an off-link!!
