Suri~ 7929 blog postsSWR really making a mockery. The 17318 LTT-UBL daily express is having a great timetable but this hubli train is a joke. What a poor timetable. It's run time can easily be reduced and huge amount of slack which is provided should be removed. Throughout the journey it's having slack and its average speed is below 40 kmph,just like the cstm-bjp fast passenger. Why don't SWR add more and more halts and degrade this into a fast passenger. At least that would beneficiary for the rural area people,just like cstm-bjp fast passenger does.
suraj sir SWR was created to serve the interests of peoples of other zones only not their own zone people. Even LTT-UR is in genral quota list so this tell the whole store where it is meant to be used.
How this train is serving people if its taking lot more time than buses for the same route ? I am saying people would be more served well and benefited if SWR re-think for this train's time table. Easily the travel time can be reduced. And if the train start taking less time then i think more people will be happy.
Completely agree with you... The departure timings from mumbai are perfect...but its slowed down without any sense throughout the journey.. especially between ltt and bjp.. One thing is remove the senseless slack and rase its avg to at least 47-48 km/hr ( which can be very easily accomplished ) or else as u said... make it a fast passenger with more halts... wht is SWR doing?? at least the MPs and MLAs of bijapur bagalkot region should raise their voice.. :(
Avg speed between LTT-SUR : 38kmph travel time 11hrs 20mins with 6halts where as bijapur pass has 42avg peed with 20halts
SUR-GDG has avg speed is 43kmps all trains have same speed
GDG-UBL has avg speed 33kmps...this can also be increased
2hrs can easily be reduced through out journey

LTT-SUR can easily be covered within 9hrs as it is an good speed zone. Just check out mumbai-pune-solapur indryani intercity exp. And travel time GDG-UBL also can be reduced.
