ooty toy train. TRIP REPORT
, the day i was waiting for to start my next big Rail trip to ooty - rameshwaram - Trivandrum had come. 28th August 2014. Well, in this part I ll talk only about ooty part of my trip.

was 2000 hrs. we reached YPR at 1955 hrs :p
Checked my loco link, KJM s rebuilt WDM3A 14019 was doing the honours. Finally Boarded our train, had our dnr n decided to sleep, well, After all we would have a Lenghty day the next day.
Slept on our berths.

Nxt day, Our arrival at CBE was at 0320 hrs. had a awesome run. we were about 15-20 mins late at CBE. Next, took our tickets to MTP in Nilagiri and had a short Rf at CBE. We boarded Nilagiri which was hauled by TNP WDM3A for the Slip part to MTP.

Freshed up at MTP, had our breakfast and boarded the toy train. The Steam loco was boiling hot :p

Steam!!!!Steam!!!! Was rumbling in my mind. I got goosebumbs seeing a Steam Loco LIVE!!! its honk too. loved that

And we started,, the steam loco pushing us up the hill. the sights, the ride with rack and pinion was bit bumby but Awesome. stopping at every station. taking pics. Its was more like i'm in a Tourist train of a resort or park rather tan a IR owned train :p
reached ONR. Loco was changed from Steam to Diesel. A GOC YDM4 #6399 took charge.

On reaching Ooty, we had our lunch and later took return train to MTP it was YDM #6724 this time. Well, our tiredness got to us n slept all throughout our Desent :p
