please wait...Translate to EnglishOn 4/3/2024, the journey from BVI to Surat was a speedy one! We caught the Borivali slow train at 3 o'clock, and man, it was like a race since then! From Virar to the mainline, we zoomed across at 100kmph within 10 seconds! Then we crawled through Bhayandar, passed Ajmer, crossed Dadar with a WAP 7, and still managed to reach Borivali by 4pm with a WAP5 taking the train towards Sayaji Nagri. We waited at platform 6, and at 4:30, our orange Vande Bharat Express arrived. As soon as it left at 4:32, it accelerated to 100kmph, and at Vasai outer, a goods train entered from Bhiwandi line with a WAG 12. There, our water and tea were served, and as soon as we left Virar, the train hit 130kmph and the dancing began! Our coach C1 was vibrating with joy from the continuous honking and the high speed. Having breakfast near the automatic doors, we whizzed through stations at 120-130kmph, continuously honking until we reached Vapi at 17:45. After a quick 2-minute stop, the train accelerated to 100kmph again. The loco pilot probably wanted to go home fast! Leaving Vapi, we met our sister train, the GNC MMCT Vandebharat, and then we skipped through stations at high speeds - Valsad at 100kmph, Bilimora at 130kmph, and then we overtook the Sayaji Nagri at Navsari. Flying off the mainline at 130kmph, in a few minutes, we reached Udhna, where we skipped Udhan at 105kmph, overtook Ajmer Dadar, and reached Surat just 2 minutes and 25 seconds early! The whole journey was smooth sailing with priority only slowing down for speed restrictions. The new WDFC line has really shifted the traffic, with only a few goods trains to overtake. The cleanliness was top notch, and the packed breakfast served its purpose. Overall, it was a fantastic journey!
