Mandovi express-better known as "Foodie king","Foodie express",is a famous train among railfans and passengers too.The train is famous for 2 things:-Railfanning and Food.In terms of railfanning,you get a good number of crossings and overtakes.In terms of food,you get a ample number of choices to fulfill your tummy.!
Travelled on this train from Madgaon junction to Panvel Junction on 18/02/2019.Coach:-2nd ac tier.Here are my reviews:-

more... far, the famous "ahuja caterers" provides the food on this train.You will get chicken biryani/chicken kolhapuri/chicken butter masala/Veg fried rice/Veg biryani/Veg pulav.See the menu card for more reference.
Another thing i'd wanna add is,if you are traveling all the way to mumbai cst,you will get dinner.! Shocked huh? I was also shocked when the pantry staff guy asked for dinner.Since i deboarded at panvel,i skipped.
Cleanliness:-The cleanliness in 2nd ac was excellent.Curtains was cleaned.Berths were having enough comfort.Overall,KR maintains this train "Very good".
Occupancy:-The train gets full packed by the time it reaches kudal.General coaches gets jam-packed.And when the train reaches Ratnagiri,there is no difference between Sleeper and General.In Ratnagiri-Panvel section,if you are travelling in sleeper section be careful from wl/rac passengers.Meanwhile, please opt for AC if travelling/without travelling family.
Punctuality:-Compared to down direction towards madgaon,wherein it runs late close to 2 hours almost daily,the Up direction run towards CST is very good,thanks to huge slack.My train departed Madgaon junction 15 mins late due to 12224 ers ltt durunto express departing on mandovi's 9.15 am slot.At karmali,22413 mao-nzm rajdhani overtook us.At kudal,we were around close to 2 hours late,but at evening when we crossed roha, the train was running 50 mins before time.!
In very rare circumstances it will get late otherwise ontime.
Railfanning:-The train doesn't get looped very much in mumbai side direction since it has first all a good number of halts and then it has to reach mumbai to work as 10111 csmt mao konkan kanya express.However,you get a good number of crossings enroute.
Avability:-Except season time, train runs empty normally.Its 2nd ac isn't having much demand although,it gets full too.Hence book in advance
