Additionally, 69 long-distance trains operating under South Railway have been canceled between May 31st and June 2nd due to platform extension work at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal in Mumbai. This work, aimed at accommodating 24-coach trains, has also affected the operation of other trains under South Railway. As a result, suburban train services have been partially canceled, with the Chennai Beach-Chengalpat EMU service operating only till Singaperumal Koil from Chennai Beach. Additionally, a special train service (07001/07002) will run between Vijayawada and Hubli starting April 10, with stops at Guntur, Narasaraopet, Vinukonda, Donakonda, Markapur Road, Giddalur, Nandyal, Dhone, Guntakal, Ballari, Toranagallu, Hospet, Munirabad, Koppal, Gadag, and Annigeri. The train will depart Vijayawada at 2:30 pm on April 10 and arrive in Hubli at 7:10 am the next day. The return journey will depart Hubli at 9:25 am and reach Vijayawada by 1:00 pm on April 12. Another special train service, the Yesvantpur-Kalaburagi-Yesvantpur Express (06505/06506), began its journey on April 8 from Yesvantpur and will arrive in Kalaburagi at 10:30 am on April 9. It will depart Kalaburagi at 1:00 pm and arrive back in Yesvantpur by 11:00 pm on the same day.
