The Sengottai - Chennai Egmore Pothigai Superfast Express (12662), Tirunelveli - Chennai Egmore Superfast Express (12632), and Kanniyakumari - Chennai Egmore Express (12634) will be short terminated at Chengalpattu. The Kanniyakumari - Hazrat Nizamuddin Thirukkural Express (12641) will be diverted via Villupuram and have an additional stop at Perambur on August 14th. The Howrah - Tiruchy Superfast Express (12663) will be diverted via Perambur, skipping stops at Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, Chengalpattu and Melmaruvathur on August 15th. The Chennai Egmore - Karaikal Express (16175) is rescheduled to depart at 10.25 pm from August 7th to 17th.

Due to non-interlocking and interlocking works for the commencement of the third line between Appikatla, Nidubrolu, and Sunduru stations on the Vijayawada Division, several trains have been diverted and rescheduled. The Santragachhi-Tambaram Antyodaya Express (22841) is diverted on July 22nd and 29th via Krishna Canal, Guntur, Nandyal, Yerraguntla, Renigunta, and Chennai Egmore. Several other trains have also been rescheduled with delays ranging from 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours. Additionally, certain trains will be short terminated at Chennai Egmore instead of Tambaram due to safety works and yard remodeling in the Chennai division.
