The Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce has requested the Railway Minister to stop the Howrah-Mumbai and Howrah-Pune Duronto Express trains at Rourkela. This would benefit passengers from Ranchi, as well as increase revenue for Indian Railways. Due to ongoing construction of a third line on the Rajnandgaon-Kalamna section of the Nagpur Division of Central Railway, several passenger trains passing through Bhopal Division have been canceled. Train No. 18237 (Korba-Amritsar Chhattisgarh Express) canceled from its originating station on August 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 15th. 2. Train No. 18238 (Amritsar-Bilaspur Chhattisgarh Express) canceled from its originating station on August 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 17th. 3. Train No. 12410 (Hazrat Nizamuddin-Raigarh Gondwana Express) canceled from its originating station on August 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, and 17th. 4. Train No. 12409 (Raigarh-Hazrat Nizamuddin Gondwana Express) canceled from its originating station on August 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 19th. 5. Train No. 12441 (Bilaspur-New Delhi Express) canceled from its originating station on July 15th. 6. Train No. 12222 (Howrah-Pune Duronto Express) canceled from its originating station on August 15th. The railway department has requested passengers to check the train status through NTES/139 to avoid any inconvenience.

Also on August 8th, the Howrah-Katabangi Ispat Express (train number 22861) is scheduled to depart Howrah at 9:00 AM, instead of its usual 6:35 AM departure. The Howrah-Pune Duronto Express (train number 12222) is scheduled to depart Howrah at 3:30 PM on August 8th, as opposed to its usual 5:45 AM departure time. There is also a proposal to make the Tata-Varanasi Special train a regular service. The proposed Tata-Jaynagar Express might see a change in its operating days.
