Devi to Varanasi via Lucknow on August 11th, 18th, and 25th. Additionally, a special train, number 04211, will run from Varanasi to Chandigarh via Lucknow on August 17th for one round trip. The return train, number 04212, will depart from Chandigarh to Varanasi on August 18th. Bookings for all these trains have opened. To further accommodate passengers, a Volvo bus service has been introduced between Lucknow and Varanasi via Prayagraj. The bus will depart from the Alam Bagh bus terminal in Lucknow at 9:30 AM daily, arriving in Varanasi at 4:00 PM. The return bus will depart from Varanasi at 6:30 PM and reach Lucknow at 1:00 AM. The fare for the Lucknow-Varanasi route is INR 1074, and online bookings are open.

To address the issue, the Railway has introduced two Holi special trains – one from Delhi to Banaras and another from Jammu to Banaras. The first train will run from March 21st to 31st, while the second will operate from March 24th to April 2nd. Both trains will pass through Lucknow and Pratapgarh. The (04080-79) Delhi-Banaras-Delhi Special Express will depart from Delhi at 7:30 PM every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, reaching Banaras at 9:45 AM after passing through Pratapgarh at 6:35 AM. The return train (04079) Banaras-Delhi Special Express will leave Banaras at 6:20 PM every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, arriving in Delhi after passing through Pratapgarh at 10 PM. The (01654) Shri Mata Vaishno Devi-Banaras Special Express will run only on Mondays from Katra at 11:35 PM from March 24th to 31st, reaching Banaras at 12 AM after passing through Pratapgarh at 8:45 PM. Delhi, arriving in Moradabad at 10:30 PM, leaving at 10:38 PM, reaching Lucknow at 3:30 AM, Pratapgarh at 6:35 AM, and finally arriving in Banaras at 9:45 AM.
