The cancellations, often announced at the last minute, leave passengers scrambling for alternative transportation at higher costs. The Duvvada Railway Users Association suggests that instead of complete cancellation, trains could be partially cancelled, with short-terminations or short-originations, to minimize inconvenience to passengers and reduce losses for the railways.
