Pranjeev Saxena, conducted a safety inspection of the new doubled rail section and third line on Sunday, along with the Chief Administrative Officer Construction, SC Srivastava, Divisional Railway Manager Vineet Kumar Srivastava, and other officials. After conducting trials at a speed of 120 kmph on the new line on Sunday evening, the operation of trains was allowed. All trains that had been suspended in the past few days have resumed operations from Chhapra Junction. This includes trains like the 15159-15160 Chhapra-Durg Express, 13105-13106 Sealdah-Ballia-Sealdah Express, 15111-15112 Chhapra-Varanasi City-Chhapra Intercity Express, Chhapra-Aurihar Passenger, 13137-13138 Kolkata-Azamgarh-Kolkata Express, Chhapra-Jalna Special Train, Varanasi City-Darbhanga Express, 19165-19166 Ahmedabad-Darbhanga-Ahmedabad Express, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Raxual Express, and 09065-09066 Chhapra-Surat-Chhapra Special Train. The Varanasi City-Darbhanga Express, 19165-19166 Ahmedabad-Darbhanga-Ahmedabad Express, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Raxual Express, and 09065-09066 Chhapra-Surat-Chhapra Special Train will now operate via Chhapra-Ballia instead of their previous route. The Public Relations Officer of the Varanasi Division, Ashok Kumar, has stated that the Chhapra-Lucknow and Utsarg Expresses will not operate for now.

from Ballia to Sealdah, will remain cancelled. According to railway officials, train number 05446 Varanasi City-Chhapra Passenger will be cancelled from 23rd December to 8th January. Train number 13137 Kolkata-Azamgarh Express will be cancelled from 25th December to 1st January, train number 13138 Azamgarh-Kolkata Express from 26th to 2nd January, train number 13105 Sealdah-Ballia Express from 28th December to 8th January, train number 13106 Ballia-Sealdah Express from 29th December to 9th January, train number 19165 Ahmedabad-Darbhanga Express from 27th December to 5th January, train number 19166 Darbhanga-Ahmedabad Express from 30th December to 8th January, and train number 15111-15112 Chhapra-Varanasi City-Chhapra Intercity Special will be cancelled on 8th January. Train number 19045 Surat-Chhapra Tapti Ganga Express will be cancelled from 20th December to 7th January, and train number 19046 Chhapra-Surat Tapti Ganga will run from Azamgarh instead of Chhapra Junction. Public Relations Officer of Varanasi Railway, Ashok Kumar, said that passengers who have booked tickets on the cancelled trains will get their money back.
