A total of 264 trains pass through Prayagraj Junction, with 35 pairs (70 trains) operating daily, 108 trains operating once a week, and others operating between two to four days a week. Prayagraj is the most populous district in the state and is also known as a religious and spiritual city. Several state-level offices, including the Allahabad High Court, are located in Prayagraj. Despite being the location of the General Manager and Divisional Railway Manager offices, 24 pairs of trains do not stop here, while all of these trains stop at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, located approximately 150 km away. Considering the upcoming Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj next year, a demand has been made to ensure that all trains passing through the city stop there. Currently, a proposal has been sent to the Railway Board for all non-stop trains passing through Prayagraj to stop, keeping the Kumbh Mela in mind. The Senior DCM of North Central Railway Prayagraj Division, Himanshu Shukla, states that there is hope that the board will grant permission for the trains to stop here.

While Prayagraj is the most populated district in the state and known for its religious significance, with offices like the Allahabad High Court, 24 pairs of trains do not stop at the junction, even though it is the headquarters of the Railway's General Manager and Divisional Railway Manager. These trains stop at the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, about 150 km away. Given that the Kumbh Mela will be held in Prayagraj next year, there is a demand to ensure that all trains passing through the city stop there. Members have left Bauruch, Sawai. Let this fastest Rajdhani stop at all places no end to desire. AG Rajdhani is slowed down with stops and now all this Rajdhani. Nagda is given unnecessarily at midnight in both directions. IR will introduce VB sleeper with 3 stops and then people start asking for stops.

Dense to very dense fog conditions were observed in most regions except East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, and Tripura. Moderate fog was reported in Haryana-Chandigarh, West Rajasthan, and West Bengal. Shallow fog in Jammu Division, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand created visibility challenges. At 5:30 AM today, visibility was as follows: 500 meters in the Jammu Division, 50 meters in Patiala, Punjab, 500 meters at Palam and Safdarjung in Delhi, 25 meters in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, 50 meters in Prayagraj, 25 meters in Gaya, Bihar, and 200 meters in Patna. On January 21st, the minimum temperature in many parts of Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh remained below 2-4 degrees Celsius. Hisar, Haryana reported a minimum temperature of 2.8 degrees Celsius.
