A peaceful protest is planned for August 23rd, 2024, at the station square in Mailani. The protest aims to demand the introduction of passenger and express trains to connect Mailani and Pilibhit to major cities like Lucknow, Agra, Bareilly, Haridwar, Mumbai, Delhi, Saharanpur, Mathura, Jaipur, Dehradun, Amritsar, and Guwahati. Gulati said that although the Railway Ministry has started some trains on the Mailani-Pilibhit section, which was shut for seven years, the long-distance trains are weekly, which is insufficient. Hundreds of lawyers, farmers, students, businessmen, and milk vendors travel to the district headquarters daily from Puranpur. The lack of regular trains between Mailani and Bareilly is causing inconvenience to the public. Puranpur's business is also affected. Gupta has written to the MP and Union Minister, Jitin Prasad, urging them to run at least four pairs of passenger trains and two to three pairs of express trains regularly between Mailani and Bareilly. बड़े आंदोलन की योजना बनाने की बात कही है। नगर पलिका परिषद के सदस्य अनुज गुप्ता ने पीलीभीत सांसद को पत्र लिखा है। गुलाटी ने कहा कि सात साल से बंद पड़े मैलानी-पीलीभीत खंड पर रेल मंत्रालय ने कुछ ट्रेनों का संचालन शुरू कर दिया है, लेकिन लंबी दूरी की ट्रेनें केवल साप्ताहिक हैं, जो पर्याप्त नहीं हैं। पूरनपुर से रोजाना सैकड़ों वकील, किसान, छात्र, व्यापारी और दुग्ध विक्रेता जिला मुख्यालय जाते हैं। मैलानी से बरेली के बीच नियमित ट्रेनों के न चलने से स्थानीय लोगों को परेशानी हो रही है। पूरनपुर का व्यापार भी प्रभावित है। गुप्ता ने सांसद और केंद्रीय मंत्री जितिन प्रसाद को पत्र लिखा है, जिसमें उन्होंने मैलानी और बरेली के बीच कम से कम चार जोड़ी यात्री गाड़ियों और दो से तीन जोड़ी एक्सप्रेस ट्रेनों का नियमित संचालन करने की मांग की है। इससे स्थानीय लोगों को बहुत लाभ होगा।

हैं तो आंदोलन किया जाएगा। ज्ञापन में कहा गया है कि गेज परिवर्तन परियोजना के कारण वर्ष 2018 में ट्रेनों का संचालन बंद कर दिया गया था। तब से अब तक नियमित ट्रेनें नहीं चल सकी हैं। जबकि पीलीभीत-शाहजहांपुर और पीलीभीत-टनकपुर रेलखंड पर एक साल से ट्रेनें चल रही हैं। पीलीभीत-मैलानी रेलखंड पर नियमित ट्रेनें न चलने से दैनिक यात्रियों, वकीलों, विद्यार्थियों और व्यापारियों को डग्गामार वाहनों से अपनी जान जोखिम में डालकर यात्रा करनी पड़ रही है। अगर शीघ्र ही नियमित ट्रेनों का संचालन शुरू नहीं होता है तो उग्र आंदोलन किया जाएगा। ज्ञापन में मैलानी-पीलीभीत रेलखंड पर दो जोड़ी नियमित ट्रेनें चलाने के साथ ही ऐसी ट्रेन के संचालन की भी मांग की गई है जो सुबह 10 बजे जिला मुख्यालय पहुँचे।

Agar jaldi se regular trains nahi chalti hain, toh ek aggressive protest ki jaayegi. They have warned of an intense protest if their demand is not met. The memorandum states that train services were halted in 2018 to convert the meter gauge line into a broad gauge. After the completion of the broad gauge conversion, only freight trains are currently operating between Mailani and Pilibhit. The absence of passenger trains has forced commuters to travel by road, putting their lives at risk. The lawyers are demanding at least two pairs of daily trains to enable commuters to reach the district headquarters by 10 am. They have also demanded the blacklisting of the construction company for the delay.

की माँग की है। उन्होंने यह भी धमकी दी है कि अगर उनकी माँग नहीं मानी गई तो वे एक बड़ा विरोध करेंगे। ज्ञापन में लिखा है कि 2018 में मीटर गेज लाइन को ब्रॉड गेज में बदलने के काम के लिए ट्रेन सेवाएँ बंद कर दी गई थीं। ब्रॉड गेज का काम पूरा होने के बाद, मैलानी और पीलीभीत के बीच सिर्फ़ मालगाड़ियाँ चल रही हैं। यात्री ट्रेनें न चलने से, यात्रियों को सड़क से सफ़र करना पड़ रहा है, जिससे उनकी जान खतरे में है। वकीलों की माँग है कि कम से कम दो जोड़ी दैनिक ट्रेनें चलाई जाएं, ताकि यात्री सुबह 10 बजे जिला मुख्यालय पहुँच सकें। उन्होंने निर्माण कंपनी को काम में देरी करने की वजह से ब्लैकलिस्ट करने की भी माँग की है।

Memorandum mein likha hai ki 2018 mein meter gauge line ko broad gauge mein badalne ke kaam ke liye train services band kar di gayi thi. Broad gauge ka kaam pura hone ke baad, Mailani aur Pilibhit ke beech sirf maalgadiyan chal rahi hai. Passenger trains na chalne se, commuters ko road se safar karna pad raha hai, jisse unki jaan khatre mein hai. Lawyers ki demand hai ki kam se kam do pairs of daily trains chalai jaayen, taaki commuters subah 10 baje district headquarters pahunch sake. Unhone construction company ko kaam mein der karne ki wajah se blacklist karne ki bhi demand ki hai.
