The Indian Railways has extended the operation of the special train, 05062/05061 Tanakpur-Mathura-Tanakpur, until December 31st. This train was introduced in April to cater to the lack of a regular train between Tanakpur and Mathura.

The 02563 Barauni-New Delhi Special on June 25 and 26, 2024, the 02569 Darbhanga-New Delhi Special on June 25 and 26, 2024, the 02570 New Delhi-Darbhanga Special on June 25 and 26, 2024, the 05656 Guwahati-Jammu Tawi Special on June 24, 2024, and the 04679 Guwahati-Shree Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Special on June 24, 2024 will all operate on an alternate route via Gorakhpur-Bhadni-Gonda. Several other trains passing through Lucknow will also be cancelled, including 04058, 04057, 04068, and 04067 on June 24 and 25. Additionally, trains 05323, 02563, and 02569 will run on altered routes, affecting their stops at stations like Khlilabad, Basti, Babhnan, and Mankapur. Train number 09111 will terminate at Gomtinagar instead of its usual route, affecting its stops at Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda, Basti, and Gorakhpur stations.
