This disruption has affected rail travel for people in Karnataka. The Konkan Railway track near Bogdya collapsed due to a landslide on July 10, causing further disruptions. The weather forecast predicts heavy rainfall for the next four days, with red alerts issued for Satara and Ratnagiri districts. An orange alert has been issued for Pune, Nagpur, Raigad, and Gadchiroli. The Mumbai-Pune highway has been flooded, making travel difficult.
