During May - June, when schools, colleges have summer vacation on, Puri is filled up with tourists. Each and every train runs full during the season. Hotels needs to be booked in advance to get rooms. This year, it is not the same. The cyclone, which has hit the coastal area of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha including Puri between 2nd and 4th May, really threw everything off the track. Spoke with few locals. They said it will take minimum of 6 months for everything to be normal. Hope things be fine soon.
******* A request from my side, please pray for Odisha, especially Puri, AP and the affected coastal area so they can recover quickly from the destruction caused by Fani and be normal again like before. 🙏
