Some of the snaps clicked by me on during travel from MLN to BIC in Vistadome coaches. This section comes under North Eastern railway, Lucknow division and It is MG and will never be converted to BG. This section covers the dense forest of Dudhwa and Katarnia Ghat. One can witness many wild animals such as Beer, Deer, Raindeer, Panther,Leopard and many different species of birds. This section reminds the old railway system where loco pilot exchange tokens at every station, Manual crossing gate and every station is surrounded of dense forest. Ghaghra river and Sharda river makes this section even more beautiful. The trains speed in forest is reduced to 30 40kmph so it takes more than 4 hour to cover 107KM.One must travel once on this section as we don't know when Govt can take decision for its GC. In these trains you can witness the best moments.

1) Lucknow-Mailani-Pilibhit Route :
This route offers some of the most breathtaking natural scenic views. The train passes through open fields of Sitapur, the dense Mala Forest, the Himalayan Terai region, and the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, providing a true sense of closeness to nature.

2) Unnao-Balamau Route :
For agricultural nature enthusiasts, this route is a gem. The train passes through dense mango orchards and the fertile Gangetic alluvial plains, showcasing crops in all seasons. It’s a scenic journey through open fields full of crops and lined with fruitful mango trees. This route is a must-visit during the monsoon.
Trains to travel: Kanpur Balamau Passenger, Kanpur Sitapur Passenger, and Kanpur Jammu Tawi Express.


3) Mailani-Nanpara Metre Gauge Route :
Beauty of this route can't be expressed by words. Passing through the incredibly dense Dudhwa National Park, running near the international border, and featuring the nostalgic charm of metre gauge, this journey is truly unique.
The sight of a YDM-4 locomotive chugging through the quite forest creates an unparalleled sense of serene isolation in the heart of the jungle.
That silence of Jungle, that iconic sound of YDM-4, the darkness of nature, that feeling, that vibe. Ahh, can't be expressed by words.

A memorable ride, on one of the very few Meter Gauge Vistadome coach, everything is a breeze in the face except the awkward timings of this train.

Not convenient for family due to timings and Bichia as a destination.
No food enroute.
No...
more...
catering service.
Not even a water bottle.
No cellular network enroute.

You have to carry everything on your own.

(अ) निरस्तीकरणः-
1. गाड़ी स0 05320 मैलानी-बिछिया सवारी गाड़ी निरस्त रहेगी।
2. गाड़ी स0 05356 मैलानी-नानपारा सवारी गाड़ी निरस्त रहेगी।
3. गाड़ी स0 05319 बिछिया-मैलानी सवारी गाड़ी निरस्त रहेगी।
4. गाड़ी स0 05355 नानपारा-मैलानी सवारी गाड़ी निरस्त रहेगी।

(ब) शार्ट टर्मिनेशन तथा शार्ट ओरिजिनेशन
1. गाड़ी स0 05361 नानपारा-मैलानी सवारी गाड़ी बिछिया-मैलानी स्टेशनों के मध्य निरस्त रहेगी। यह गाड़ी नानपारा-बिछिया के मध्य शार्ट टर्मिनेट तथा शार्ट ओरिजनेट होगी।
2. गाड़ी स0 05362 मैलानी-नानपारा सवारी मैलानी-बिछिया के मध्य गाड़ी निरस्त रहेगी। यह गाड़ी बिछिया-नानपारा के मध्य शार्ट टर्मिनेट तथा शार्ट ओरिजनेट होगी।
