Replacing 8 car with 20 car is too much addition of capacity at once nearly 3 times from 530 to 1450 seats and will go vacant. 8 car to 16 car is itself doubling capacity is also huge addition but ok as we don't have 12 car version in VB. For today Vskp SC has 110 seats vacant which may go further up after Vijayawada for 8 car 530 capacity being week day off season which I never expected.
Yes I agree that some days VB is running with 20% vacant seats, but according to occupancy %, I was saying for replacement of VB from other Zones. Like if we see that DURG-VSKP VB below 20% occupancy. In that context I said that. But 12 car VB would be a better option. Railways should look into this.
If MAQ-TVC is given 20C it will fill up entirely. I don't think there is any other route other than this and NDLS-SVDK which has unlimeted potential to fill premium trains
Mangalore TVC or TVC kasargod have full occupancy only between Ernakulam and Khozikode for only half the distance. While New Delhi SVDK and Mumbai Ahmedabad have most seats filled atleast 80% end to end. So instead of Varnasi New Delhi morning dep they should have been given 20C first. Kerala requires Vande Metro to substitute Jan Shatabdi and VB in both directions in different time zone and sections.
