Agreed, ICF is far better for long distance journey.

Now the facts are:

1. JRLE MEMU EXP was running on time due to its good characteristics of acceleration and a good slack time....

2. JRLE MEMU EXP having toilet facilities and comfortable seating arrangement. Also the space inside the coaches was very good for air circulation which ICF coaches lag behind.

3. Now JRLE ICF EXP is running behind its schedule hauled by WAP-4 though the slack time remain same.

4. I am not opposing Godda MEMU, ER could demand a temporary MEMU for deputation duty from other Zone if Godda inauguration is SUPER PRIORITY. Instead they just spoil the JRLE route by running it by WAP-4. Though it is named as Express, but we all know this is running as Passenger train.

5. If JRLE EXP is running like a proper express category train them I would love this ICF coaches behind the WAP engines.

6. People are loosing everything from this train, paying express fare for passenger train; was running on time earlier which is now irregular due to late arrival.

1. You have mentioned that 13177/78 has good slack. It remains as it is with conventional rake as well.

2. As far as the facility of toilet goes, I think ICF coaches have way better in 4 toilets per coach.

12 coach rake behind a WAP - 4 is not a bad deal, IMO.

4. As I have already mentioned, I would have been happier with ICF rake for Godda - Sealdah.

5. I checked the running status of 13177/78 for today's run and I see no significant delay at either ends.
