abnormally running late; otherwise, it is one of the unsung punctual train; although it covers a large distance of approximately 3116 km in about 68 hours.
It is the longest route runner daily running train of Indian Railways. It has 6 rakes (train sets), maintained by Dibrugarh (DBRG), NFR.
The locomotive hauling this train is non other than the first prototype IGBT based 4500hp EMD WDP4B #20047 of DLS Siliguri (SGUJ), NFR. #20047 and #20075 were the first prototype WDP4B locomotives manufactured by DLW, Varanasi.
Also, notice the TWO COACHES; exactly after the locomotive: first coach is a SLEEPER CLASS and the second one is an AC 3 TIER SLEEPER. The two coaches are actually the 25910 Darbhanga - Dibrugarh Jivacch Link Express; which runs between Darbhanga and Dibrugarh.
Those two coaches gets attached to the AVADH ASSAM EXPRESS at Samastipur Jn; and runs combined between Samastipur and Dibrugarh.
