People of Silchar are Bengali-speaking, but happy residents of Assam. They are not Bangabashi by any stretch of imagination. It should be BANGABHASHI because though happy residents of Assam, they are steadfast on their language that is Bengali.
FYI, 14 people have sacrificed their lives to protect the right to mother tongue at Silchar from 1961 onwards.

Thanks for creating this train. It provides another overnight connection between Kolkata and Guwahati after Saraighat which is always overbooked. It also provides a connection between Guwahati and Silchar starting in the morning.
It is beyond doubt that a daily train will be introduced between SCL and Howrah/ Sealdah or it may be even two. Railyatri will show that after Guwahati, the most frequent destination is Howrah. Howrah-Guwahati route also has a huge demand.
That might take up to a year from now, if not from Oct 2015.
