I know they don't. I merely said they should implement such a system for trains in general and VBs in particular [since daytime trains get filled later] which generally see vacant seats.
Just 11 person including 2/3 TTE beyond KUR

So ok PM NoT possible at PURI but can't they keep the rake overnight at BBS/BBSN/KUR overnight.
Why not run 3/4 days with single rake ?

Rather than Tata and Bam they could have thought for Hatia and puri
They are only 6 passengers as they allocate 473 seats out of 478 seats rest TTE or others. Bhubaneswar Visakhapatnam too operates with less occupancy better operate triweekly Vskp and triweekly BBS Tatanagar and save 2 rakes. It's matter of prestige and ego for RM and MP if train is canceled or stops not provided and so do the press who poke without actual facts and figures and requiremnt of people of that region. Today morning in one of the news telugu news channels quoted that BBS Vskp and Durg Vskp are run due to demand of respective Chief Ministers and their MPs though there is no demand from Visakhapatnam representatives side.
Hatia Puri is not possible journey time wise. can be run from Hatia to BBS.
Har haal mein Keonjhar district aur West Singhbhum district mein Vande Bharat Express ghusana tha railways ko. Is liye Hatia - Puri ya Ranchi - Puri bhi hoti to via Kendujhargarh hi proposal banta uska bhi. Phir route long ho jaata. Phir dusre route k trains se kam time mein nahin pahucha pata, proposal fail ho jaata. Its original proposal was from Tatanagar to Puri. Ranchi - Kendujhargarh VB to abhi bhi chal sakti hai.
This has to be the most egregious example of VB till now, running through rural Jharkhand. It might help folks from BBS/Cuttack through TATA but is absolutely useless for passengers from stations like Chaibasa or Kendujhargarh. Like the latter station doesn't even see 10 trains daily, what it needs is more ICE/Mail trains, not VBs.

I think such political VBs shouldn't have been run at all. Guess there isn't a shortage of routes where VBs should be introduced and will actually turn out to be successful, but the govt is only interested in distributing votebank lollies.
Just politics made this possible, otherwise could have planned for puri or vskp via Balewar route. And this VB didn't needed 2 rakes as i believe. They could have kept patna VB departure 1 hour late and departure time same, so that PM time would have been managed. Even SER is also not confident regarding the punctuality of both the VBs
They want to connect to all parts of the country with VB regardless of requirements and show pride and showoff among the people. VB has completely become a political toy train. These vote bank political will not yield any positive impact from masses who still constitute 60% of voters.
It's a vanity project which is doomed from the start. Just like Sampark Kranti, Duronto, Garib Rath, et al are now consigned to the past and no new trains from them are introduced, the same will happen to VB. Since VBs are so closely integrated with the current govt., any new govt. will not want to carry on the legacy of the previous one and hence, try to come up with a new service after dumping the previous one.

Just to reach on same day to BBS 12876 can be a good option, but 12875 is most popular for its punctuality. Which is mostly poor even if we compare it with 12820's punctuality. For people of tata 12802 is the first choice, then 18478
