more... Electric) 6517 from Bangladesh Railways (WDM 3A class manufactured by DLW, present day Banaras Locomotive Works) with 13132 Dn Dhaka - New Jalpaiguri Mitali Express approaching Haldibari, it's first halt in India.
2) BED # 6517 (WDM-3A) resting at Haldibari.
3) Siliguri (SGUJ) WDP 4D # 40376 leaving behind New Jalpaiguri with 13131 Up New Jalpaiguri - Dhaka Mitali Express.
At present, Mitali Exp happens to be the only passenger service which brings BR based loco all the way into the Indian territory but only in down direction. LC takes place at Haldibari.
For the up service of Mitali and rest of the two services from India to Bangladesh i.e. Maitree & Bandhan, the LC happens in BR premises.
At present IR runs 3 international services between India & Bangladesh:
1) The oldest one is the Maitree Express plying between Kolkata Terminus & Dhaka via Gede (India), Darsana(zero point) , Ishwardi (Bangladesh) Maitree Express uses both IR & BR (Bangladesh Railways) based rakes. The IR rake is numbered as 13109 Up / 13110 Dn whereas the BR counterpart is numbered as 13107 Up / 13108 Dn. This is the only passenger service from India which uses international rake. Therefore, it also happens to be the only rake from a foreign country which enters the Indian territory.
2) The second service to operate between Bangladesh is 13129 Up / 13130 Dn Bandhan Express between Kolkata Terminus & Khulna via Bangaon Junction (India), Petrapole (Zero Point), Jessore (Bangladesh). It operates with IR based LHB rakes.
3) The third & the newest service to be introduced between India & Bangladesh is the 13131 Up / 13132 Dn Mitali Express between New Jalpaiguri & Dhaka via Haldibari (India), Chilahati (Bangladesh), Parbatipur (Bangladesh), Hili (Bangladesh), Ishwardi Bypass (Bangladesh).
