First in place SWR SBC division should have a proposal to run SF dedicated train to Mumbai. When chalukya is running from YPR when a proposal came to extend it they readily agreed as they need not stable the rake and if they introduce a night train SWR should maintain PM with 2 rakes. Next when proposal is coming from MyS MP to extend Udyan they are ready to extend but never denied saying that they will introduce a biweekly/ 4 days train from MYS PM in Chalukya timings by creating another slot for YPR bound train by speeding up and cutting the gap at YPR. Anyway as SVMB terminus is opening for traffic this may also be shifted there bypassing YPR. SWR need to take up this issue with CR along with late dep of CBE exp at LTT.

If SR run PDY MRJ and TEN MRJ trains at a different faster slot via RU, GTL, UBL, Chalukya slot can be used for Mumbai Bangalore SF.
Now, no end to end traveler would prefer this. Better options for Pondy passengers are biweekly CSMT NCJ via VM, Weekly KIK LTT and weekly LTT MDU. For Madurai, Thirunelveli passengers, you have CSMT NCJ in convenient timings.
The wrong decision of extension can be reversed.

In the list of trains which will bypass YPR, I guess this train might also be there. But the question is will it be speeded up?
