people travelling to Tirumala and have no direct ticket to TPTY can get down here. Just if you come out of railway station you can see buses directly to Tirumala for every half an hour and you can reach tirumala in 3-4 hours
many trains will cover almost its delay time while comming from bza to mas/tpty via nellore, gudur will be covered at gudur because there is a alot of slack time . actual journey time from nellore to gudur is 30-40 min but some trains take 1hrto1.30 hr to travell between in these stations. majority of trains comming from mas/tpty will stop before gudur because of platform clerance. many trains with out halt in this station also stop here for 1 min tirupati is 100 kms and chennai is 135 kms from here

Purna 1788 blog postsIf you can wait till 10:45 PM for dinner,when the train reaches Gudur, you can have hot dosas with ground nut chutney at PF 1 catering stall(where usually this train arrives ). The taste is really good..
GUDUR - TIRUPATI/TIRUMALA busses are avail at 4am to 8pm.

at Gudur Staion, At nights there are lot of platform vendors who would be selling a set of Open Dosas with Redchilly-Groundnut chutney...Very good taste... You can rely on this for dinner....
