Kazipet Junction is a crucial hub for both goods and passenger trains connecting north and south India, making it deserving of a division. The railway connectivity in Telangana is weak since the state’s separation from Andhra Pradesh. Kazipet is located near major coal mines and has high revenue generation, making it a strong candidate for a railway division. The people of Warangal are asking the central government to upgrade the wagon manufacturing plant to a coach factory, which would generate employment opportunities for local youth and give Kazipet the railway division it deserves.
