This will increase the line capacity and enable the introduction of additional trains to meet public demand. The affected trains include the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Intercity, Gorakhpur-Ashbag Intercity, and several other long-distance trains. Some trains will be diverted via Gorakhpur-Bhadhani-Gonda and others will be diverted via Chhapra-Audahihar-Varanasi-Jaunpur-Shahganj-Ayodhya Cantt-Barabanki.
