No. 16345) was scheduled to leave Udupi at 3 a.m. and the Panchaganga Express (Train No. 16595) was scheduled to pass through the same stretch at 4 a.m. Officials swiftly initiated track restoration, completing it by 5:58 a.m. with a speed restriction of 20 kmph. Mr. Shetty was commended for his alertness and awarded a ₹25,000 cash prize. The Netravathi Express was stopped just before Padubidri at 3:55 a.m. and brought back to Innanje, while the Panchaganga Express was detained at Nandikur Station. Train traffic was restored after the track was declared safe.

Officials immediately track restoration ka kaam shuru kiye, aur 5:58 a.m. tak 20 kmph ki speed restriction ke saath track ko operation ke liye fit declare kar diya. Mr. Shetty ki alertness ke liye unhe ₹25,000 ka cash award diya gaya. Netravathi Express ko Padubidri ke pehle hi 3:55 a.m. pe roka gaya aur Innanje tak vapas laya gaya, aur Panchaganga Express ko Nandikur Station pe rok diya gaya. Track safe declare hone ke baad train traffic restore ho gaya.
