The Saharsa Junction railway station in Bihar is undergoing several development projects, including the construction of a second washing pit, a new station building under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, a light overbridge at Gangajala Dala level crossing number 32, and yard remodeling. 2022, was initially expected to be completed by March 2023 but remains unfinished. The project cost has increased from 12 crores to 19 crores due to additional work, leading to a 70% variation. The railway has approved only 50% of the cost and the construction progress is slow. Another major project is the 182 crore yard remodeling, which involves laying new lines, relocating the railway crossing at Bengali Bazaar, and other expansions. This proposal was sent to the railway board a year ago. The new station building is expected to be completed by August 15th, 2024, with the possibility of its inauguration on the same day. The washing pit is expected to be completed by October 2024. The new station building will have a three-story structure with a large circulating area, a new road, a new pathway, and a new building. A third foot overbridge will connect the circulating area directly to all platforms.

Bihar ke Saharsa Junction railway station pe bahut saare development projects chal rahe hain, jaise ki dusra washing pit banaana, Amrit Bharat Station Scheme ke neeche nayi station building banna, Gangajala Dala level crossing number 32 pe light overbridge banna, aur yard remodeling. pit project, March 2023 tak pura hone wala tha, par abhi bhi adhoora hai. Project ka kharcha 12 crore se badh kar 19 crore ho gaya hai, kyunki extra work karna pada. Isse 70% ka variation aaya hai. Railway ne sirf 50% cost approve kiya hai aur construction ki speed bahut slow hai. Ek aur bada project hai 182 crore ka yard remodeling, jismein new lines bichhayi jayengi, Bengali Bazaar wala railway crossing ko north ki taraf le jaaya jaayega, aur aur bhi expansion kiya jaayega. Yeh proposal ek saal pehle Samastipur division se railway board ko bheja gaya tha. Nayi station building August 15th, 2024 tak pura hone wali hai, aur is din hi uske inauguration ki sambhavna hai. Washing pit October 2024 tak pura hone wala hai. Nayi station building mein three-story structure hoga, ek bada circulating area, ek nayi road, ek nayi pathway, aur ek nayi building bhi hogi. Teesra foot overbridge banaya jaayega jo circulating area ko directly saare platforms se jodta hai.
