authorized the construction of a new maintenance center for Vande Bharat trains at Shalimar. This new center will facilitate the deployment of Vande Bharat trains on other routes. Meanwhile, the Tatanagar washing line number one is being upgraded. Currently, there are 17 Vande Bharat train rakes ready for operation. While the Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat train already runs via Tatanagar, new Vande Bharat trains are expected to run from Howrah to Rourkela and Barbil via Tatanagar. The South Eastern Railway Zone has conducted a survey for the potential introduction of Vande Bharat trains on several routes. The train rake for the Tatanagar-Patna route arrived three days ago and is currently stationed at the Chakradharpur Railway Division headquarters. Trial runs will be conducted once the necessary traction facilities are available at the washing line.
