Yadav used online prohibited softwares on his laptop and mobile phone to book tickets instantly and avoid detection by operating from home without a shop or board. He was caught based on an informant's tip by Assistant Sub-Inspector Umesh Kumar Saroj, Head Constable Praveen Kumar, and Lokesh Kumar. The police recovered a Dell laptop, a Redmi touchscreen mobile, and 500 rupees in cash from him.

The Prime Minister's Office directed the change in the inauguration date, although the official schedule hasn't been released by the railway authorities yet.
