The tunnel construction was particularly challenging due to the presence of hard rock and the emergence of a population in the area after the survey. The project encountered delays due to water removal and blasting permissions. A total of 1200 blasts were conducted to remove 234,000 cubic meters of rock, with 200 personnel working daily. The project has utilized 300 tons of explosives and various machines, including boomers, shotcrete machines, and telehandlers. To overcome the challenge of water ingress, 10 million liters of water were pumped out of the tunnel.
